As part of the Annual General Meeting on June 14, 2009, the congregation met to celebrate the programs, activities and learnings on offer at Dunbar Heights United Church. Read the Building Renewal Report that resulted from that meeting.
As we assembled, there was a matrix of sheets of paper stuck to the floor with names like "Disciple Bible Study" "Nursery" "Garden" "Aurora Group" "Finance Committee" and "Sunday Worship."
People were invited to write their names on a sticky note, stick it to the floor outside the matrix and from their names, draw out colourful strings of wool to the programs or activities to which they were connected.

Some reflection: At this point we could see how interconnected we all were through the many programs and events that DHUC members take part in.

 Time to reflect |
Look at how we intersect |
 Mmm; that's interesting |
The next step was to look at where all the events, meetings, study groups and classes take place. Green painters' tape helped to join activities that took place in various parts of our building. That revealed how heavily used the building is — and that is just with members' activities — there are numerous community groups using the building, too.
