All Ages Worship at DHUC

All Ages are thematic worship services that explore our relationship with God in creative ways to engage members of all ages. Services are planned by our worship leadership team and provide meaningful opportunities for children and youth to participate with adults in worship. November 28th was Reign of Christ Sunday, the last Sunday of the church year. We celebrated with an All Ages service that featured a story about finding, honouring and uses our individual gifts. First Cathy talked with the children about their own gifts; then we shared a story, The Boy Who Dreamed of an Acorn. Then a treat, the children's Choir, backed up by the adult choir, sang This Little Light of Mine,

After the story, every worshipper took time to name their own special gifts on paper acorns. Those were gathered by the children and pasted to our oak tree. To complete the service, Colleen sang "Get on board little children...get on board". We had a wonderful celebration of the gifts of all ages.
