This fourth week of Advent is an All Ages Service when the Pageant story forms the focus of our worship. In our pageant, "The Story of Jesus' Birth" two angels, Gabriel and a fellow cool messenger narrated the story.
Our story was written by Meg Illman-White (Grace-st.Andrew's United Church, Arnprior, Ontario.

The people were a dejected lot; occupied, watched over and taxed. But God had a message for them and Gabriel was assigned to deliver the news.

"God has heard your prayers; you and Elizabeth will have a son and you will call him John."
Next assignment: tell Mary — she shyly accepted; tell Joseph — he was mad and had to be cooled down.
The Shepherds were asleep with their sheep when the Angels came to waken them
with the news of the holy birth in Bethlehem.
The Angels and the shepherds gather to worship at the manger. The Wise Ones are on their way from the East.
