Celebrating 25 Years of Stitch and Chatter
Stitch and chatter members, guests, planners and volunteers gathered for a luncheon to celebrate 25 years of friendship and service.
Patricia was the welcoming MC for the afternoon, introducing S&C members and speakers and presenting flowers to each of the ladies at the end of the luncheon.
Janey prepared a slide show of pictures from years ago and the present and presented a history of the group. Jill and Susan read stories from their personal connections with the group.
Rev. Michelle talked about her weekly lunches with S&C. It was there, she said, that she learned about what was going on in the congregation, who needed a visit, who had moments of joy and sadness. She thanked the women for their connectedness to the community of DHUC.
Volunteers, who are also admirers, served a lunch of sandwiches, goodies and tea served from silver tea servers complements of the Stotts.
