Easter Sunday morning always bursts in full colour and joyful music in our beautiful sanctuary. Following the choir's presentation of Bach's St John Passion on Good Friday evening, the Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah was the fitting greeting on this glorious Easter morning. We paraded with fresh flowers to decorate the Friday Cross and celebrated Holy Communion.

For the second and third Sundays of the Easter season, the Pastoral Care Team lead the service. On the Second Sunday, two members sharing their reflections on that ministry within our congregation.

Vivian led the congregation in the Call to Worship.

On April 7th, Anne shared a story from her childhood that had the gathered children and adults spellbound and we welcomed new members to the congregation.

Two speakers, Susan and Linda told of life experiences that lead to a call to the ministry of Pastoral Care. The thought that ran throughout was to be prepared to find God and goodness in unexpected places and people.

Our celebration of our Pastoral Care ministry continued on the third Sunday of Easter.

Rev. Michelle shared stories of times that children had given pastoral care to her with hugs and attentive listening.

And we have an apprentice drummer!

During the Reflection time, a third member of the Pastoral Care team and Rev. Michelle shared their understandings and stories of Pastoral Care, care that comes from openness to listen and to share.

Other special services during this Easter season marked a welcome to new members and a celebration of Earth Day. Read Rev. Michelle's sermon for Good Shepherd Sunday here

Baptisms are shared with the children of our church family--and they all know that we need water and oil.
