Creation Time in the season of Pentecost is a new season in the church year. It's a time we acknowledge our biological and spiritual kinship with all of creation. The colour of Creation Time is orange so we have new, colourful banners and stoles.

The sermon series follows the founding family of the tribes of Israel. Rebekah is chosen as a wife for Isaac, "Will You Go?"; the birth of Esau and Jacob, "Sibling Rivalry"; Jacob's ladder, "Wherever You Are is Called Here"; Jacob marries Laban's daughters "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Israelites"
Thanksgiving Sunday, October 9th, was the final Sunday of Creation Time.
For this All Ages Sunday the children's choir and Duncan sang Accentuate the Positive.
With the children and the congregation, Cathy shared a story in the style of Godly Play called Living with Respect in Creation, a story created by Rev. Susan Lukey, High River UC, Alberta, based on Psalm 148 and Jeremiah 4:23-27.
All Creation, Praise God. But people did not take care of the earth and it became a dark place. Then one human voice cried "Stop". And then more voices joined and all people took action to restore the beauty of God's creation.

On October 4th, with Christians in every country, we celebrated World Wide Communion.
At Dunbar, all are welcome to a celebration of Communion where children also serve and receive
with adults.
On the second Sunday of Creation Time, September 18th, we continued the story of Abraham & Sarah, Isaac & Rebekah with the birth of the rival twins, Esau and Jacob.
Glory to God, Praise and allelujah!
September 11th was the first Sunday of Creation Time. We have new colours in the sanctuary and stories from Genesis as themes for services. We also have a new song which we all learned after story time with Cathy Cryder.
