"We are an involved and connected community...
Seekers, questioners and believers at various stages on the journey."

Summer worship takes on a more relaxed feeling, some come in shorts and runners, everyone in what's comfortable; we have a Stump the Preacher sermon series and people are visiting on vacation.

Here's a list of the summer worship reflections:
  • July 3rd: Changing God?
  • July 10th: What happens when we die?
  • July 17th: If God is all-powerful, do we really have free will?
  • July 24th: Imagining God
  • August 7th: What Nerve!? God's Mercy
  • August 14th: Why were Adam and Eve punished? Sorry, you just had to be there!
  • August 21st: How do we share our progressive faith in a hostile world?
  • August 28th: Does God have a plan for my life?
  • September 4th: Revelation, Observation, Procrastination and Transformation

All Summer we celebrate our fellowship and welcome members and neighbours to stop by for a cup of tea or coffee and conversation before worship at 10am. Drop by any time after 9:15. And...we have musicians joining before and after worship. All are welcome for refreshment and a sing-along.

Rev Michelle shared a favourite story,
The Three Questions, with the children. What is the most important thing to do? Who is the most important one? and When is the most important time? The answers also show us how Jesus lived.

Michael Politano Bowles was our guest preacher August 7th. He is VST third-year student and avid soccer player and coach. He shared a story with the children and other young-at-heart folks.

Ian challenged the preacher, Cathy cryder, with a good question. So July 31st, he helped her explore that question: "How would God might like Bible stories to end?"

On July 17th, Rev. Michelle dealt with the Stump the Preacher question about free will; Cathy shared a story with the children.

Worship at Dunbar Heights takes different forms during the year and at special seasons.
